We have identified the following target countries for this initiative: Belarus, Botswana, Brazil, China, Estonia, India, Kenya, Mexico, Russia, and Sri Lanka.

In addition, we have completed a series of preparatory actions, including:

• A technical meeting organized to set the research agenda, under the guidance of seven internationally recognized experts;
• The design of a generic instrument to measure the informal alcohol sector; and
• Expert review and finalization of the instrument for the initiative’s implementation.
